This won't break the compatibility with the existing standard and with the original modularity of my system, and you will still be able to store samples in Patch Memories, where required. Just, it will prevent unnecessary data copying and duplication in some occasions, like poliphonic oscillators and such things. I hope I can implmenent the new system within the end of 2025. -Sample OSC has tons of bugs. It is a very old module and was poorly made. It should be redone from scratch ASAP -Improving Anti Aliasing or adding it where still missing (eg. Audio Player and Sample Osc) once I manage to devise some brand new trick to keep CPU reasonably low (any decent canonic decimating filter is a CPU hog, no matter how well you code it, plus oversampling Nx also increases CPU load by Nx) -A good Envelope Follower if possible (another thing people are asking for from time to time) -A simple and extra light-weight sinewave oscillator suitable for additive synthesis and FM -A special harmonics oscillator where you can draw the spectral envelope or however adjust the harmonics number and levels -A Mute/Solo module ? -A simple Wavetable OSC ? -UNDO for the Sample Modifier ?
